    Dear Mrs. Lin,

    Because you are a valued cardholder, we would like to offer you a payment holiday by waiving your minimum payment this month. Standard monthly interest charges will continue to accrue and the minimum payment on your next monthly statement will be calculated in the usual way.

This is why I don't get a credir card. They're such unmitigated bastards.

Just for that, I went and paid my total balance, not just my statement balance. So now, I have a credit. >K{

You are definitely one of the funniest people who I know who writes online.

I don't get what the use is of this kind of "bonus." Give us a break on the interest, you freaks!

Anyway, yeah... you should pay off all your credit cards each month, after taking advantage of the 21 days of interest-free borrowing. I pay mine off with my extremely-lower-than-credit-cards-interest line of credit. And I get Air Miles, too. Yay Air Miles! And when I pay for something with Paypal, I insist on funding it with my credit card so THEY have to pay, rather than my bank account where I get dinged. Anyone paying debit/Interac charges might as well just give their money to the banks.

My favourite, though, is going somewhere like London Drugs or Safeway, a really big company that you know is screwing their employees, and paying for under $5 stuff with my Mastercard. I love doing that. Not that it really affects them that much but they still end up losing a huge percentage of the transaction to credit card fees.

It really is the small things in life that make it worth living. :)

Y'know, I could use a card that charges 20% interest and I still wouldn't have a problem because I'd never get into a situation where I'd have to pay it. The only time I've ever been late on a credit card payment was during one of our Postal Worker's strikes and I didn't actually get my statement until after the due date. I phoned them and had the late charges reversed =D

I rip up those stupid "cheques" they send me. Those are charged like cash advances at a much higher interest rate than even your late payments. There's just no need.

You STICK IT TO THE MAN, Kalev! =D

Ha ha... thanks! I will!

I actually get AMEX cheques like that with lower interest rates than my line of credit (3.99% and 1.99% sometimes), so I put all my line of credit debt on my AMEX until the deal expires and then switch it back. I'm so sneaky. *looks foxy*

Hehe...credit card companies = evil. As I understand it, they may change their rates on your balance AFTER you've charged it. What other financial loan may do that? :(

That's very true. But are there any other financial loans that give you an interest free grace period? =)
