Blast from the Past!

weather: sunny

Heh, it'll be interesting to see who reads this journal anymore =)

The only major update with me is that I gave birth to a 7 pound baby girl in December. After over a decade of trying to come to terms with not being able to have children at all, I unexpectedly found myself pregnant. Sometimes, it still doesn't seem real.

Anyways, comment and let me know how you've been =)

Heyyy! So nice to hear from you. Funnily, I rarely check here but decided to while having a small snack* before bed. Glad that I did.

MEGA congrats!

Things are much the same as they have been. Still in Oregon. I am a "senior information developer" (tech writer) with the same company I started with nearly 8 years ago (I got out of tech support, huzzah). Still with A, 20th anniversary this July (!!!), which we are celebrating by actually making things legal.

So glad to hear from you! Are you, er, elsewhere online?

Hi
Glad to here about you having a baby, family is the foundation of being alive.

As for me,I am 78 now and living in Washington DC at the Armed Forces Retirement home.

My Wife passed away two years ago, miss that woman, she gave me fifty one years of happiness. I mostly travel between my two Dauthers home when it cold in DC. I have become a snow bird and follow the sun in the winter.

Hope you post every now and then, do take care.

just when you figure the current stage out, they're on to the next.

And Two things for future reference: babyproofing can be done with cardboard and duct-tape ( corners, covering bookshelves). and if you find yourself confronted with the need to buy infant tylenol, spare yourself the headache, make sure it's the bottle that comes with a syringe not a squeezy dropper.

S is now in the toddler phase. Its fun. And stressful and challenging and hilarious watching him become this person!

A is slowly becoming Not A Potato. We have a ways to go =) Good to know about the two things.

We just got his first "big" carseat. we don't have a car, but we rent on occasion, and for travel.

He's in daycare 2 days a week so I can get work done.

I miss the potato phase, but I kinda like the babbly interactive toddler phase more.

( are ye on the facebooks)

I am not on the Bookface =) But I saw some of the pics. S is adorable! And A swims around in her crib, ending up sideways by morning, as well.

Omg, yay!
Wow, what a wonderfully surprising post!

I'm back in Vancouver for several weeks this summer. Let's meet up!

And yes, I'm still getting RSS updates from your blog, but having to deactivate my LiveJournal account and log in to comment was the real hassle!

Wow that is fantastic! I remember reading your wedding entries years ago, and following you on your LJ. Now I'm getting married this year, which is crazy in itself. Congratulations on everything.

Congrats. That's really awesome news. Wishing you and the family all the best.

Mostly traversing back and forth between Calgary and Vancouver to enjoy great food (instagram: raysfoodblog), and moved over to a large non-profit to help out on the IT side of things. I'm starting to dabble in some photography and road-biking.

I get so jealous of Vancouver and Thomas Haas, and Beta5... Also so many good eats...

Cheers. --Ray

Whoa! Congrats!

I've got 2 critters myself, now; my son is 6, my daughter's 2. They're exhausting, frustrating, and hilarious, all at once.

Holy cow, that's so awesome. Congratulations on your little bundle of joy!

I miss a lot of people who used to be on LJ. As for me, I was a global nomad for a few years: China, US, Switzerland/Europe... now back in the US, but heading back out to Southeast Asia next week to visit family.

Hope you and the hubby enjoy your little one!

Wow, that’s huge news! I remember reading about difficulties, so it’s awesome that you did become pregnant. Congratulations!

Amy is 10 now and will be starting secondary school (Gymnasium) after the summer holidays. Still with the same company, still with Stella. Currently learning Turkish, after sticking with Cornish for three years or so.

Wonderful to hear from you! And am I remembering correctly that Amy has a little brother? Or was that someone else?

No, Amy is still an only child, and likely to stay that way - she was a bit of a miracle as well.

Happy birthday, by the way!

(And apologies for the late response - I missed your reply.)

Wait, WHAT?! WOW! MORE 'W' WORDS!
On a whim, I decide to browse my old bookmarked blogs that I've not checked in a donkey's age, and stumble across your wonderful news!

So yes, I'm excruciatingly late to this one, but CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to the parent party.

We recovered enough sleep and energy from our first one (Gabriel's turning 4 in June) that, fools us, we just went and did it again. Our daughter Tamsin was born at the start of March - yes, like five weeks ago - and we're having wonderful fun getting used to the new normal.

Ally continues to be her brilliant self, doing science and making the world a better place, and I still goof around as general web project development manager for the Fringe.

I hope this note still finds its way to you after all this time. Congratulations and all the very best.
