Why do stupid people breed so fast?

[weather| sunny ][water| 2 @ 1706h ]
[mood| blasée ][music|   Handel - Concerto Grosso, Op. 6 No. 4 ]

Stupid people shouldn't be allowed to breed.

I consider 16 year old girls, who are still in Grade 9 because they failed several grades from skipping too much, having unprotected sex with a 24 year old, stupid to the core and in no way, shape or form, deserve to have a child.

I too believe 16 year olds are too young to have children. This comes from personal experience...being a 17 year old parent myself! Had one at 17 and one at 18. Not smart and if I had a chance to do it over I would NOT have kids that young.

What upsets me is the young women who have kids just because they think it is cool or they think it will make up for what they are missing in their lives.

Boy, could I tell them a thing about missing things in your life! But then, would they listen?

Yipes... so did you graduate with your class or did you take the GRE sometime later?

But then, would they listen?

Some might. I doubt most would though.

so much the truth..
"ooops. Got pregnant. Just 16. Silly me."

Arrggghhhh. Medical science has provided enough varieties of contraceptive, but apparently we need to put something in the slurpee machines.

Considering how much more important having a child is than driving, we should have Children Licenses. Make people go through written exams and a practicuum (several, maybe).

I agree. I took a parenting class in High school.

Is that the one where you're carrying around an egg for a week? I've always been curious how useful that exercise was.

My baby brother was born when I was 12. And I took Infant Psychology and Developmental Psychology at UBC.

I wasn't going to go into it without taking a course of some kind.

There's a new thing called the Baby Think It Over doll that has been going out to highschool health/guidance classes.

From the BTIO site:
An ID is attached to the teen?s wrist with a tamperproof wristband to ensure that only the assigned teen can care for Baby. Baby cries for care according to schedules selected by the instructor. When Baby cries, it is the teen?s responsibility to determine and provide the type of care Baby needs: feeding, rocking, burping, or diapering. Sometimes Baby is just fussy and cannot be quieted by the teen.

The electronics in Baby?s back monitor the quality of care Baby receives. Baby reports the number of times each type of care was provided, as well as wrong positioning, rough handling, Shaken Baby Syndrome, and more.

Baby weighs 6.5 to 7 pounds and is 21 inches long. Each Baby is anatomically correct and available in six ethnic groups and seven skin tones.

diannaandbill's highschool-aged sister took one home for the weekend for extra credit. I can't find Dianna's journal entry now, but I remember she said something like "boy, I never woulda though the dark circles under my sister's eyes could be that dark" =)

Yeah I can't remember when that was. My mom who had 4 kids thought the baby was horrid. :-)

Heh... =) That Empathy Belly pregnancy simulator thing they have is pretty creepy. The boobs are way too perky for one =P And the simulation of:

* Shallow breathing capacity and shortness of breath
* Increase in body temperature, pulse and blood pressure
* A flushing sensation and increased perspiration

If these are not caused by just carrying around the extra weights (like if that rib belt does something to you), I can just see the lawsuit.
