Well. So, it sounds like there's a bit of a miscommunication on that Japanese PDA project. The Project Manager seemed to think there was a huge hurry to have me start. He really wanted me to get set up and everything. The dev team isn't done with their bit yet, so there's nothing for me to even look at right now.

I was also assigned to spec out a bit of a small SVG project. I did that in a hurry and wound up being a half-pint Sys Admin for that project - nothing major, just Ghosting and re-Ghosting nine zillion different platforms here, there and everywhere.

And if I have time waiting for other things to happen, I've been continuing with the Quark project.

Then today, I was cornered and asked what I know about Oracle. They want me for an Oracle/Unix project. Crikey. Gotta dig up my Oracle Book of Shadows.

So, I never have time to work on the internal issue tracking system ... which is the very project that I was hired for!!! =D In today's company meeting, the Lead for the issue tracking system was talking about it being behind schedule because I'm "on 100 different other projects". Everyone just cracked up at that because it's so true that it's funny =D

S'all good though. There's definitely an apologetic spin to everything they ask of me. They know it's not fair that I'm being punished with having to do everything because I know stuff, but it's just a difficult time. =P My Boss-ish Person is good about talking to me about what I want to do and trying to make sure that I get my say/my pick. Then all the other things, he tells me to write up Brain Dump documents so that they can be given to other people as a springboard.
