Retail Therapy

weather: mostly sunny
outside: 21°C
mood: confused
music: Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op 64, II Andante
I will never understand this "Retail Therapy" thing.

You waste gas driving.
You deal with stupid drivers on the road.
You deal with stupid people at the mall.
You deal with stupid people's kids at the mall.
You deal moron sales staff.

You have now wasted good money on crap you don't need.

And to top it all off, you have NOT RESOLVED your original problem.

How good can Retail Therapy feel, really?

Weekends

weather: mostly clear
outside: 18°C
mood: calm
music: Kiri Te Kanawa - Po Ata Ran (Puccini)
What are your plans for the weekend?

There's another question that's just way too hard for me. It's almost as bad as How does that make you feel?

Sometimes, I have a thing or two to do, but most of the time, I don't know what I'm doing on the weekend. I mostly just catch up with life.

I don't like making grand honkin' plans for weekends. When I do, my weekend gets packed with too much stuff to do. I'll end up with some insane schedule that requires waking up at some godforsaken hour and not being able to go to bed until some other godforsaken hour at the other end of the day. Repeat all weekend. Screw up sleep cycle.

Then, come Monday morning, I'm completely trashed.

But if I don't plan anything, things will come up. We'll run around, get them done and maybe spontaneously decide to do something else too. It'll be just right. If nothing comes up, I can always use the extra relaxing time.
