Movie Reviews - Quill, King Arthur

weather: sunny & raining
outside: 12.9°C
mood: okay
It's one of those days in Vancouver where it's raining out of a little white cloud in an otherwise clear blue sky. Every once in a while, I'll see a car that is sopping wet. It's dirty, so I'm pretty sure it couldn't have just gone through a car wash.

Wow, we haven't seen a movie since The Incredibles, last November. I remember it being a lot of fun.

Quill ()

Lame ass. Don't bother.

It's a Japanese movie about the life story of a guide dog from birth to death and how he met, trained and won the heart of an arrogant blind man. This movie was supposedly all the rage in Japan. Blech.

King Arthur ()

Galahad is Lancelot's son, so the fact that the two of them seemed to be the same age and stature felt wrong. There were so many other knights they could have picked for a random name... Sir Kay? Percival? Gareth?

There's an idea, have Lancelot kill Gareth by mistake. That was supposed to cause Big Drama In Little Camelot. But then kill off Lancelot in the last battle at the end, so no harm, no foul. Well, we're making it all up as we go along anyway, right?

And they were called "knights". IIRC, the Romans had their own military ranks (decurion, centurion, etc.) and "knight" was not among them. They did have elite cavalry (the Eques class), but they weren't called "knights".

It's just unfortunate that I couldn't put my finger on what it was that bugged me until almost the very end.
