Do people just not understand how feeds work?

wilwheaton is a syndicated account. This means that he has made his journal entries available via an RSS feed. LJ grabs the content from his site in XML format and slots it into an LJ format.

Posting a comment to the LJ entry that contains his post will not get to him.

He used to have a blog at WilWheaton.Net last year or so.

It's still there... that's exactly where the syndicated account gets the content from.

In the last movie, Wil Wheaton had a cameo in the wedding scene. He was wearing a Star Fleet uniform. I though his character dropped out of the academy and went dimension hopping with some alien. Did I miss something?

I actually haven't seen Nemesis. I don't know why I didn't. I think maybe it was because of all the bad reviews it got. But I see Berman in the writing credits, so that can't be a good thing for Original Plotness™. Wesley Crusher appeared in the episode "Parallels" in the 7th Season as a Lieutenant at Tactical (it was an alternate Universe... y'know, the one where he chooses to stay and continue in Starfleet). I'm not surprised they would write him in once in a while. Did he have a speaking part? Maybe he wasn't supposed to be Wesley Crusher per se. Maybe he was just some Joe Bloe Starfleet kiddo... I'm not sure.

I clearly didn't see that episode. However, he did not have a speaking part. However, he was sitting right next to his mother, Dr. Crusher, amid the entire bridge crew. I assume he was meant to be playing the same part again.

Personally, I didn't think Nemesis was any better or worst the any other of the Star Trek movies.

Hmmm... interesting. Then again, continuity was never their forte. =)

Yo Sean! You need to write more. I miss hearing from you.

Wesley Crusher did indeed have a brief cameo in Nemesis at Riker & Troi's wedding. He didn't have any speaking roles though. (score!) And yes, you're right. There is a continuity loophole. He is there in a Starfleet dress uniform. When I saw this I was as boggled as you are. He's supposed to be exploring alternate realities with The Traveller. It would be ok if he was in civvies but the uniform created confusion.

To the best of my knowledge, he dropped out of Starfleet when he left with The Traveller. He shouldn't even be in a uniform. It's a continuity gaffe that wasn't resolved.

I am forced to conclude that he must have gotten sick of exploring with The Traveller and must have rejoined Starfleet. It's definitely plausible. He may have felt obligated to rejoin given the war with The Dominion. Starfleet would have definitely let him back in, despite his bad attitude, given the demand for new recruits with a war going on.
