Arts Club Theatre

weather: cloudy
outside: 22°C
mood: curious
Hee, some days, you can't pay me to shut up... I encourage you to try, though >KD

Work gave me two free tickets to the Arts Club Theatre. Thank you, Work! =)

The problem is, I have no idea what to see. Nothing jumps out at me from this list, so I'll take it to all of you to recommend something. My tickets expire August 31, 2003, but I'm going to try to get an extension.

It's a fairly wide variety, I know. I prefer Light/Humourous over Dark/Depressing, if that helps.

Oooh, wait, I have this faint recollection that you're not big on musicals right?
Another option, quickly looking through at the other choices, Private Lives seems intriguing ...

I chose I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change because it was playing here in Austin and I really wanted to see it, but never got the chance.

I voted on that one too - it just looked like the best one!
Besides...aren't shows about the wacky world of relationships in this day and age awfully fun? :)

The only three I've heard of: Othello, Singing in the Rain, I love you you're perfect, now change. And I've actually seen all 3!

Let me start from the bottom. I love you, you're perfect now change is not bad. But it's not that great either. I don't know... I just really didn't like it that much. But it is light and funny.

Singing in the Rain is a great show, but I agree with the previous poster. What's the point without Gene Kelly? :)

I would definitely recommend Othello! You can't beat Shakespeare. Othello is definitely my favourite Shakespearean play. At one point, I even considered naming my son Iago! Having said that... it's anything but light. It's dark, depressing drama. But it's drama at its best. :)

Tell us what you decide!!
