*sigh* I haven't been a good friend in the last little while, but I hope I've been a decent Internet Stranger to you all =) There are a few "Friend" memes floating around that I've decided that I can roll into one.

  1. For each friend, choose your favorite icon out of their collection.
  2. For each friend, write about where you met them or how you got to know them and what made you add this person.
  3. Recommend [a] journal[s] to others.

People I read:Collapse )

A few notes:

Of course, these are my choices. Many are near and dear to me for reasons that may not appeal to a more varied audience. YMMV.

I didn't write a lot about some people. It doesn't mean I don't read their journal. In a lot of cases, I see a lot of Friends-Only and filtered posts, so I really don't want to be describing a whole lot. And, even if they do Friend you back, YMMV. =)

awww... that was just some of the sweetest things! :) And thank you so much for what you just said (wanders around with a puffy ego now)

/goes to bed happy now.

It was lovely to meet up with you too. Always talking about something interesting, new and different. Was very surprised when I heard that you lived in Vancouver perhaps I have seen you on the streets or even annoyed you as the angry pedestrian? >;)

I don't remember exactly how I met you, but I believe it was through a link in someone's journal pointing me to your policy on adding/removing friends, which that person had adopted-by-reference.

I think that was around the same time as I heard that "a good way to read interesting things is to read magicwoman's friendsfriends page because she has intelligent friends".

What's a See-Lai?

Re: See-Lai
It's Cantonese slang for "Chinese Wife". I think it's a dialectical variation of 少奶奶 (the wife of a man who is not the Grand Patriarch). It usually refers to an older woman, obviously married for quite a while.

I'm just poking fun at us calling young-ish, newly wed-ish types "see-lai's" already =)

Hahahaaa. MAN that must have been a ton of work, formatting everything. Great - now you've wrested the "most time spent per LJ entry" award from my hands. What do I have left to live for!?!?!! :P

"most time spent per LJ entry"

No, that one's still yours, you take days, sometimes weeks to write stuff =D

i'm slowly catching up with lj. thanks for the mention. the icon you selected for me, it's the one that expresses my wacky side. ahah. ^_^

currently typing with mittens on. kind of fun but also slows me down. i like how it muffles the clickety clack though. i think i need to start working soon...lol. after i get something hot to drink though. <- been saying that for the last half hour and here i am still attached to my keyboard.

Haha, it's more elegant and calm than wacky =) The one with your hair swishing around your head is more like "wacky" to me =)

Mittens — I love putting on mittens that have been sitting in front of a radiator or some kind of heat source =)
