I'm in a bikini, walking alongside an outdoor swimming pool in someone's backyard, intending to do some laps. At this point, I'm vaguely suspicious that it's a dream. I don't even want to wear a one-piece swimsuit, let alone be in a bikini in public. And I can't swim, so I wouldn't be doing laps.
There's a mixer or some kind of party going on inside the house, but I'm ignoring them. They don't seem to care that I'm there either, so all is well.
There suddenly appears a headphone set around my neck, so I put them on. It's play a song and I start singing along. It's very familiar to me and I obviously knew the lyrics really well, but now that I try to think of what song it is, I don't know it. I'm singing louder and louder. I could feel my vocal cords buzzing almost down to my heart (which is wrong because if you're singing properly, the sound should be coming from your head). I should ask Husband Guy if I was hollering in bed close to morning. =D [He says I wasn't.] I remember putting my towel down on a ledge by the pool and stopping to give my all for one phrase.
Apparently, I'm singing really loudly because the crowd in the house stops and all faces are staring at me. Then, it looks like the crowd gives birth to Simon Cowell who comes running out. I see Randy and Paula following him too, but Simon is actually wide-eyed and running.
I'm thinking to myself, "oops, he's coming to tell me I'm ap-sell-yootly oh-ful" or "ap-sell-yootly goss-ly" or that I "cont sing" and maybe make me shut up. But the last thing I remember is he grabs my arm and I hear the word "wonderful", in that Simon Cowell way, before I woke up.
I'll analyze later.
Bikini — To dream that you are wearing a bikini, suggests that you are feeling exposed. You may feel unprotected emotionally. It may also signal a return to innocence or youth. Alternatively, it indicates superficial desires.
The first three sentences actually fit, in a way.
Swimming — To dream that you are swimming, suggests that you are exploring aspects of your unconscious mind and emotions. The dream may be a sign that you are seeking some sort of emotional support. It is a common dream image for people going through therapy.
Towel — To see or use a towel in your dream, suggests that you need to deal with your emotions in order to move forward in your life. You need to find some sort of a resolution. Alternatively, it represents completion, a fresh start and new transition.
Huh. Yup. Pretty much. I'm not in therapy, but I am trying to cope with some things.
Headphones — To dream that you are wearing headphones, indicates that you are the only one getting the message. It also indicates that you are in tune with your intuition.
Interesting. That's so very interesting. I've always tried to disregard my intuition because I've always thought it can be wrong. And it has been wrong. Very very wrong. But I've learned to use it, not as absolute proof, but like a hypothesis supports an experiment through to a logical conclusion.
Party — To dream that you are at a party, suggests that you need to get out more and enjoy yourself. If the party is bad, then it indicates that you are unsure of your social skills.
It was quite a happenin' party and if Simon, Paula and Randy were there, it must've been a schmoozer of some sort.
But I'm not sure if I was really at the party. No one was shooing me away and I was obviously intending to stay on the premises, but I wasn't hanging with the people either. So, does that mean I think I should go out and enjoy myself more? Or does it mean I'm satisfied to not be around people?
Singer — To see a famous singer in your dream, represents harmony and some divine influence or vibrations. It indicates glorification of the human spirit. Consider also your general impression of this singer and how those specific qualities may be triggered by someone or some situation in your waking life.
Really? How about a famous cranky old Music Producer? =D No, I think I know what this means. Simon knows what he's doing. He knows talent when he sees it and he's unequivocally, the hardest judge to get by in the American Idol auditions. He's very blunt, but he's also quite right. I think he represents the blunt, callous, but emminently correct judge of myself. It has to do with accepting myself. It has to do with holding myself to a tougher standard and succeeding. Well, not yet, but I think my heart says I'm satisfied with my progress.
Singing — To sing in your dream, represents happiness, harmony and joy in some situation or relationship. You are uplifting others with your positive attitude and cheerful disposition. Singing is a way to celebrate, communicate and express your feelings.
To hear someone sing in your dream, signifies emotional and spiritual fulfillment. You are changing your mood and experiencing a more positive outlook in life.
