One More Thing

weather: mostly cloudy
outside: 18°C
mood: miffed
Before I go back to the tedious run that is Work right now:

I want Ruby Text capabilities. YESTERDAY!!!

[Update]

I made my own Ruby Macro in userinfoSemagic and bound it to ALT-R. It just takes a Chinese character as the Ruby Base and the PinYin as the Ruby Below Text and stuffs it into a table that's formatted correctly. It's only for single characters though. If I wanted to do a bunch, I'd still have to manually format the table myself.

There's an extension for Firefox 0.8 that adds it partly. It does above Ruby, if not below Ruby. But it follows the standards a bit more closely than IE does.

But Ruby isn't well-supported in general, unfortunately.

Realistically, it's not going to be for a while. But at least it's in Candidate Recommendation which is further along than the multicolumn layout =}

Have you posted it in suggestions? Sounds pretty neat. I think LJ would be a great place to try and bring more of this Ruby stuff to the forefront. --Ray

This wouldn't be an LJ feature. It would be a W3C standard for Cascading Style Sheets and then implemented in the browser.
