Well. It was determined that we were not at fault for it. But because the other guy's insurance company is in Ontario, we had to pay the deductible first and we'd get reimbursed when his insurance company paid ICBC for the damages and the deductible.
The accident happened in early October 2003. By November 2003, fault had been determined. It's now *look at date* July 2004, we even got a notice to remind us that our insurance is up for renewal again and we still don't have our deductible back.
I called our Claims Lady, Carol, yesterday. She's on holidays until August 03, but I was forwarded to general customer service. They told me that the insurance company in Ontario hadn't coughed up the money after repeated requests. The last time Carol prodded them about it was in April 2004. There is now a collections agency involved.
*sigh* It's a good thing we're not in dire straits and desperate for that $300.
Oh, I LOVE the underground parking lot we're in right now. I'm next to a pillar and I've learned to squeak myself REALLY close to it. On the other side of the pillar is a co-worker and I know they'll be careful to not thump my car with the door. On the other side of me is a black Audi S4. Yeah, she's SO NOT going to touch me. =)
