You Know You're In Canada When...

Ha! I'd forgotten about this. My Dad went to a conference in Singapore a week ago and I took him to the airport. This sign was plastered on every check-in counter:

... but machetes and boxcutters are apparently okay in carry-on. BWAHAHA!!! XD

That's right. I laugh at everything. Whether it's funny or not.

Ulu knives are tools used primarily by the Inuit... unless I missed something from grade 4 Social Studies. But I guess they're also in Alaska. Okay, nevermind me... =}

It's also in some groups a very, very, prized posession with enormous sentimental and societal value. Almost like being THE item that proves you're a damn good woman, or something. So it would be entirely natural to try to carry it with you in your carry-on baggage.
